Closing in P10 the first day, the team had to start the next day first on reversed grid facing gravel routes despite of a power steering problem that fortunately didn't force the Hyundai to retire.
In the after-race comments Umberto Scandola said: "Debuting in Poland wasn't easy both for the low experience on the route and for the speed that distinguishes these stages. We honestly thought we could be nearer to the best timings and in the second part of the race I felt we started racing at the right pace to be able to enter the top 10 which was our initial goal. Leading the way on Day 2 together with a minor issue to the power steering didn't let us comeback as we wanted. Nevertheless, it was a great experience for the team. We will use it to build a more consistent performance for next rounds of ERC championship. We are aware that we have to improve and we'll keep on pushing both in European and national contexts. Next step for us will be San Marino Rally in Italy, a warm up before ERC Rally of Latvia".
As Scandola mentioned the next round will be in Latvia at the beginning of July and it will be a fast round as well.
